Whether she's designing this next season of darling styles, jet-setting to a beachy photo shoot, or spending time with her littles, Markey Hutchinson, CEO, designer, and founder of The Beaufort Bonnet Company, is a constant source of inspiration for mamas and their babies born with a refined sense of style. In honor of our February 9th TBBC Sip & See, Markey dished... and we're thrilled to share a few of her loves.
What is your favorite home cooked meal for a special occasion?
In the winter my husband and I love preparing my Grandmother’s Chili, enjoying a fire, and watching football. It may not sound like a special occasion but when we can slow down and really spend time together it’s super special to us.
Where is your favorite romantic getaway spot?
My husband and I love a quick trip across town to sit by the fire at the Merrick Inn (a local restaurant). When we have the time to travel we usually bring the kids or accompany friends on a couples trip. A Romantic Getaway does sound amazing though- maybe I need to add that to my To Do List.
What is your favorite Valentine’s Day tradition?
I try to get the kids a new Valentines or ‘Love’ related book every Valentines Day. I keep them all together in a basket and put them out soon after Christmas. The kids and I will read love themed books leading up to the big day… and then they receive a new book (and maybe a few other goodies).
What book are you cozying up with this winter?
I’m currently reading This Will Only Hurt a Little (Busy Phillips).
What sweet treat can you not resist?
Peanut M & Ms
What is on your Valentine’s Day playlist?
Cue all the George Strait love songs.
What wine do you wind down with in your Wimberleys?
I’ve been enjoying Michelob Ultra Pure Gold with my Wimberley’s!
Who is your number one celebrity crush?
I only have eyes for my hubby (but that’s not a fun response) I’d have to go with Matthew McConaughey… but if I could make a celebrity man mocktail, I’d like a combination of Matthew McConaughey, Owen Wilson, Adam Sandler, Aaron Paul, and John Krasinski.
What are your kids wearing to their Valentine’s Day parties?
My little ones have to wear uniforms to school but I’m sure Betsey will wear her new Hamptons Hot Pink Cambridge Cardigan and a pink hair bow.
